About SMJ Consulting

SMJ Consulting was born out of necessity and a desire to continue valuable and enjoyable business partner relationships. After over thirteen years of providing services to a wide variety of organizations across the Pacific Northwest, the consulting firm I was working with provided notice that they would cease providing services to members in 60 days. Over those years, I developed strong personal and professional relationships with many members—some of whom I spoke with on at least a weekly basis!

Needless to say, I felt a vested interest in continuing to be able to work with these professionals and their organizations. Putting my years of business knowledge to work, I had SMJ Consulting up and running as an operations Washington registered business in less than 60 days. I’m pleased to say most of my former members are now current members of SMJ Consulting.

We offer a wide variety of services to organizations centered around human resources, employee relations, and compliance. Our practical approach to working with our clients to accomplish their goals and objectives is both appreciated and desired. We work with each organization to help them consider risk management issues related to employment issues. Further, we combine those discussions with conversations about how each course of action possible might affect the culture of their organization. Once you know your mission and core values, decisions become easier to make.

We have experienced, professional consultants working remotely in several states in order to provide the expertise and knowledge to provide our members with the best possible service. Every one of our consultants has expertise in different areas of human resources and business operations. Our goal is to always have you working with the right consultant to help you with your specific project or issue.
